Extended Day

The school day doesn’t have to end at St Dominic’s H.S.G. when the bell rings.  We have a vast and exciting range of activities on offer through our innovative “extended days” that run from 4pm to 5pm, Monday to Thursday in both Junior and Senior departments of the School, at no extra cost to parents.

And we aren’t just exercising our brains.  Our pupils have the chance to take part in a huge range of initiatives, which also help keeping fit fun

Our programme is designed to offer a wide variety of subjects for our pupils to enjoy after their normal school day, with a mixture of physical and mental activities and an emphasis on fun.

New additions to our programme include street dancing, photography, car maintenance for our older pupils and LAMDA lessons (extra charge).

Language clubs and lingualink sessions help encourage enjoyment of languages and awareness of different cultures.

Our sporting programme is as popular as ever, including netball, table tennis, rounders, ball skills, kung fu and trampolining, to name a few.

We have competitive fixtures in Netball, Rounders, Athletics, Tennis and Hockey throughout the School year and these are proving very popular with the girls.

In addition to all of these activities, Homework Club is also available to all year groups each night.
