ST DOMINIC'S TOP STAFFORDSHIRE LEAGUE TABLES
We are pleased to announce that St Dominic's has been ranked in first place in the league tables for Staffordshire at GCSE Level with 100% pass rate. and a 97% pass rate of A* to C including Mathematics and English.
This is fabulous news for the school as we have long held the accolade of 'Leading Girls' School' but the league tables that were published earlier this week showed that our school came out as top of all the school in Staffordshire at GCSE Level. We can now say that we are 'The Leading School in Staffordshire'.
Our achievements at 'A' Level were also fantastic last year with a 98.4% pass rate but our placing on the league table at 'A' Level does not reflect this because it is based purely on points scores. We have preferred to focus on high grade in 'A' Levels to get places on good courses at good Universities for our girls, rather than doing extra course such as 'A' Level General Studies, which only boost points scores and give little or no advantage when applying to University.
